Not All Animals Can Be Pets

Since my last name is Bear, I've always wanted to have a pet bear to protect my house one day.

Hey, I've had crazier ideas, like how I want to name my son, when I have one, Griswold Lee Bear so his nickname can be Grizzly Bear.

Anyway, this is what happens when you have a wild animal as a pet.

During Dan Lebatard's Show on 790 AM he interviewed Miami Metro Zoo's Ron Magill and Magill explained how these wild animals can not be kept as pets, no matter how well they are trained. Just scroll down on the link to listen to the audio.

I thought the interview would be a joke, but that Magill guy is great.

Turns out you can't monkey around with monkeys, or with any wild animal for that matter.

I can't believe she gave Travis the Chimp a Xantax. I guess those pills can't calm everyone, or everything, down.

Well, I guess I'll have to just stick to a regular-old dog. That or buy a house with a forest for a back yard and not teach my bear to open doors.
