Staying In Shape With Ray Lewis

Jim Rome started the top of his radio show’s 1 o’ clock hour (eastern time) segment speaking about the way Ray Lewis stays in shape.

According to Rome’s source, Lewis said he hasn’t ate fast food or pork in over 13 years.

When he wants a snack he drinks some water and eats an apple.

In fact, Ray drinks two gallons of water each day... before noon.

He takes vitamins in the AM and in the PM.

Lewis’ obsession with treating his body as a temple even wears off on the people around him.

His Baltimore Ravens team mate Terrell Suggs was in the locker room snacking on a bag of chips one day. When Ray walked by, he snatched those chips from Suggs and threw them in the trash. That's a scene to imagine.

A lot of where Lewis gets his eating habits and workout routine comes from Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe took Lewis under his wing when Ray got into trouble during his younger years.

Ray Lewis is a beast, and almost literally when you factor in that he's one of the athletes linked with the Deer Antler Spray that the MLB warned players to stop using this past season.

It’s no wonder why Ray Lewis says he is in the best shape of his life now at age 36.
