The women's basketball (3-4) team lost in an away game to the University of Illinois-Chicago Flames (4-0) last night.
The Lady Owls never led and shot poorly (26.7%)from the field. They are off until December 13th when they play at Denver University. The time off should be used to get the girls in better shape because even head coach Chancellor Dugan said, "We just got tired."
In other Lady Owl news, the softball team signed four recruits that will enter the school in the fall of 2009. Their off-season focus has been on left handed hitters and outfielders and head coach Joan Joyce feels they did a good job addressing the issue.
This years softball season starts February 6.
