Owls Snap Losing Streak, Then Lose Conference Opener

The Owls men's basketball team (4-6,0-1) have lost five of their last six games.

FAU snapped their four game losing streak Saturday against Southeastern Louisiana, but then lost to Denver to open conference play last night.

The Owls remain undefeated so far this season at home, but are 1-6 on the road.

"It's tough to win on the road in college basketball," says head coach Mike Jarvis.

Even with the return of team leader Carlos Monroe, who has been ineligible this season until last night, FAU still couldn't pull out the road win.

The Owls play their next three games on the road, so they better figure it out or they could easily be facing a 4-9 record before returning home to play South Alabama on New Year's Day, especially considering the quality of the teams they play in Troy, UAB, and Kentucky.
