NFL Predictions

Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Take the four point spread. Even though I don't think the Cowboys will be very good this year, I think the Bucs will be even worse. Tampa will have a quarterback controversy all season.

Philadelphia Eagles at Carolina Panthers; I like the Panthers to win. Both team's are solid but the Panthers are at home and Jake Delhomme is out to prove all the critics wrong about his inconsistencies.

Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints; It's a big 13 point spread for the Saints, but I'd take it. The Lions are terrible and the Saints offense is one of the tops in the league.

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens; I like the Ravens to win, but don't take the 12 point spread. The Ravens offense has drastically improved with Joe Flacco at the helm, but they still don't put up many points.

New York Jets at Houston Texans; I'm taking the Jets in this one. Even with a rookie quarterback leading them, they still have a solid defense and before Brett Favre's arm fell off last season they were one of the best team's in the league. Plus, the Texans never live up to their expectations.

Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons; Take the four point spread for Atlanta. This should be a great game but Atlanta's receiving core will over match the Dolphins secondary.

Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals; It kills me to say it, but the Bengals by more than five is a smart bet. I predict the Broncos to be the worst team in the NFL this year.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts; Take the Colts by more than six. The Jags struggled last year and didn't improve anywhere this year. Look for the Colts' Reggie Wayne to have a breakout season establishing his self as one of the top receivers in the league.

Washington Redskins at New York Giants; I like the Giants, but not by more than six. Don't take the spread here. This will be a tough rivalry game and even though the Giants are much better in my mind it's still week one and they'll have to shake some rust off.

St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks; Another high spread, but I'd take Seattle by over seven. I expect the Seahawks to have a huge year and go to the playoffs. Matt Hassleback to T.J. Houshmandzadeh is a deadly combination.

San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals; The Cardinals high powered offense will cover the six point spread. Arizona has a weak defense, but the 49ers have an even weaker offense.

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers; I like the Packers to win, but don't take the spread. Another week one tough rivalry game. The Packers will pull it out in the end with Mr. Consistency Aaron Rodgers.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots; The Pats will win, but not by more than 11. The Bills have a great wide receiving core that will help out Trent Edwards and keep the game closer than expected.

and finally...

San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders; Take the Chargers by over nine. San Diego will win at least 11 this year and the Raiders will get lucky if they win four.
